Loopnet is an on-line listing of commercial property. It is very useful for assessing retail, office and industrial lease rates and sales prices.

Heartland Realestate Business

This magazine, available on line, provides monthly updates about the Midwest's real estate market, including profiles of new developments.

ICSC Shopping Centers Today

Found on the International Council of Shopping Center's webpage, this monthly publication provides updates on trends affecting retail business and property nation wide. This is a good source for news and trends about the retail industry.

Provides information about vacancy and absorbtion rates, lease rates and market trends for sub-market areas and different types of commercial real estate.

1938 & 1939 Aerials photos of Cook County

This site hosts high-resolution aerial photography of Cook County taken in 1938 and 1939.  These images are very useful for determining past land-uses, environmental history, historic water-shed info, and historic development patterns.
